PATIO CULTURE
We work hard and play frequently on our own specially designed patio.
WORK HARD: POSITIONS
We all work as a team in a supportive and positive environment. At each weekly production meeting, we review the status of all projects and if someone needs help to meet deadlines or for quality assurance, resources are reallocated. The atmosphere is fast-paced with technically challenging and demanding work.

PLAY OFTEN
The heart of our office is our kitchen. And great things come out of its ovens and refrigerators to enjoy at our legendary patio parties. They’re casual, fun, spontaneous events featuring a bounty of good food. Ken, our consulting chef, may be barbequing some salmon to accompany his famous, fresh mango dessert. Leslie might whip up one of her hot and spicy recipes, and our friend Julie will likely saunter in with a platter of delicious deviled eggs.
And then there’s our annual Christmas party, egg decorating party, Cinco de Mayo party — and all the other gatherings that spring from no better reason than the urge to gather together over a few drinks after a long work week.
Day trips are always fun! Rafting was the number one hit recently. Plus, we try to leave our work and homes once a year and head out somewhere for a couple of days with our families and work colleagues. At one of those retreats we all stayed at a 130-year-old restored farm house in Westport on the ocean. We spent one evening dancing on the wide porch under the stars.
DOGS
Our security director is Delta, an older Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She first got this position because she is so good at shredding things. Now she attends every meeting to make sure we are safely doing our jobs.
There are typically at least three dogs at work each day. We walk them together at lunch time. It’s great to take a break and go for a walk around Sutter’s Fort.
OFFICE
Our office is located in midtown Sacramento, right on J Street. There are many, many great restaurants within walking distance.
We bought the building in 2003 and renovated the ground floor for our office. So now we have lots of room with large workstations and central layout space for group reviews and discussion. The design of the office was based on locating a fully fitted kitchen right in the center of the office because, like we said, food and drink are at the center of life.
STAR TREK
Ok, we know it’s old news, but we can’t help being Star Trek fans. So all of our computers and equipment have Star Trek character names.
