With direction from the California office of the Indian Health Service, Blackbird Associates and Glumac International conducted a facility study addressing the following issues:
- Code compliance
- Accessibility compliance
- Comfort and appearance
- Energy savings opportunities
The result of this study was a renovation project to upgrade the facility according to the clinic's selected list of recommendations. This renovation design and documentation is in process by the same design team.

University of California Davis Medical Center

This project required Blackbird Associates to survey, evaluate and correct non-complying door and frame assemblies in preparation for the JCAHO survey. The project included the creation of a comprehensive database of existing door and hardware conditions as well as complete working drawings to correct deficiencies.

This project focused on solving maintenance, code compliance and accessibility issues. Blackbird Associates designed solutions for the four-story medical office building, built in 1966, consisting of both cosmetic and life safety upgrades. The hospital's engineering department was our client for this project.
